Who we are

Lehigh Valley Drone Academy is operated by Lehigh Valley Drone Pros in Pennsylvania, USA. For any privacy question or request, email info@lehighvalleydronepros.com.

Information we collect

• Account details such as your name, email address, authentication records, selected training track, and preferences.
• Training activity such as lesson progress, answers, confidence ratings, scores, timing, weak areas, readiness state, and feedback you submit.
• Technical diagnostics such as browser and device details, performance measurements, IP-derived location at a general level, and error events.

How we use information

We use this information to provide and secure your account, personalize training, calculate progress and readiness, respond to feedback, send the emails described below, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve the Academy.

We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. We do not use training answers to make employment, credit, insurance, or other high-impact decisions.

Emails we send

• Account emails, which are part of the service: sign-in and verification codes, password reset codes, and a one-time welcome message.
• Optional progress emails: a weekly progress summary and a one-time note when you're close to exam-ready.
• Every progress email has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn each one on or off under Email on your Account page. Unsubscribing doesn't affect account emails.

Service providers

The Academy uses Convex for application data and authentication, Vercel for hosting and privacy-focused traffic/performance analytics, Resend for email delivery, and Sentry for error monitoring. These providers process data only to deliver their services under their own contractual and security obligations.

Sentry replay is sampled only when an error occurs. The Academy configuration masks all page text and blocks all media in those replays.

Cookies, local storage, and tracking signals

We use essential authentication cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and support offline-capable app behavior. We do not run third-party advertising cookies, and Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies.

We don't track you across other websites or serve targeted ads, so browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals don't change how the Academy works. There is no cross-site tracking to turn off.

How long we keep information

• Account and training records: while your account is active. After you ask us to delete your account, we delete these records within 30 days.
• Error reports held by Sentry: no more than 90 days.
• Email delivery records held by Resend: a limited period set by that provider.
• We may keep a limited record longer where the law or the security of the service requires it, such as evidence of abuse.

Your choices and requests

You can update your name, track, and email preferences on your Account page. To access, correct, export, or delete your information, email info@lehighvalleydronepros.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.

Children and teens

You must be at least 13 to create an account. The Academy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn that we have, we delete it promptly; a parent or guardian can contact us to ask.

If you are under 18, use the Academy with a parent or guardian's permission. Note that the FAA requires you to be at least 16 to hold a Remote Pilot Certificate (14 CFR 107.61).

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Academy or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised effective date here and provide additional notice when a material change warrants it.
